A very quick post to share a card I have made for this month's challenge going on over at Make the Day Special, which this month is this sketch, and you'll find all the details here...
If you have ever visited my blog before, you're probably aware that I love this online shop, they stock all my favourites and get the new releases from across the pond in next to no time! My bank balance may not be their biggest fan...but I am!!!
So you've seen the sketch, now here's my card...
I knew I wanted to use all my newest goodies, so used this beautiful bold striped paper from My Minds Eye 'Jubilee Tangerine' paper pad, and this gorgeous wood veneer panel from a set Make the Day Special have just started selling. I could not wait to have a play with these and they didn't let me down, they come in a pack of 10 in a variety of different wood effects - all lush! I used the newest offerings from the awesome Mama Elephant, 'Carnival Cupcakes' set, and watercoloured my image using my other newest toy, the Gansai Tambi watercolour set from Kuretake. I then used a scalloped circle die to cut out my image, well, just because I thought it added some cute :) I used my newest word die from Lil' Inkers and did a little 'in-laying' with it. I then made up my sentiment by using a couple of different Lawn Fawn stamps and embellished with some wee black enamel hearts.
A clean and simple card, but bold and colourful.
I hope you agree, and I hope you like it.
As always, I love to read any comment so don't be shy!
See you soon.
Jillxxx
