A Fancy Frilly Fringe.

Hi everybody,

Jill here, and this week I've got some fancy frilly fringing for you...

Using the gorgeous new Fringe Dienamic from My Favourite Things.
I don't have anything like this in my stash already, so just HAD to have it.

I started by stamping out and white heat embossing the beautiful Lace Background from My Favourite Things on two pieces of card.  I then watered down some purple ink and washed it across one piece for my background, using the embossing as a resist.  I washed another piece of card in the same ink to cut my cute little fringes from, and added a few little flicks and splatters of white and shimmery sprays to add a little interest.

I used my other heat embossed card to cut my 'thanks' sentiment from, using Lawn Fawn's Scripty Thanks Die, and this sweet Tiny Bow from Waffle Flower, (soooo cute).  I wanted to use the embossed card for my sentiment and bow etc for the added texture, I thought it would add a little extra fanciness to match the fancy frills!
I used Lawn Fawn's Small Stitched Rectangles to cut my panel so everything was all neat and precise, and also because, hands up, I'm addicted to them.  They just give such a nice finish to your card.

I also cut the fringe from a piece of white card to break the colour up a little, and adhered everything in place.
With all the lace and the fringes, and all that jazz, I felt my card had enough going on so skipped embellishments and left it there.
I LOVE this new die, and think it will look awesome cut from some gorgeous patterned papers, so can't wait to give it a try.
I really hope you like it, and as always, everything I used is linked below.

See you next week.

A bouquet for your best bud.

Hi everybody,

Jill here, and this week I've got a bountiful bouquet and a little sneaky shaker for you...

Using Paper Smooches 'Best Buds', which...wait for it...IS IN THE SALE!!!

I really love this set.  There's so many elements to it,  big and small images of all different styles, just such a sweet set.

I started by stamping out the largest image in the set onto white card, and coloured the flowers using Zig Clean Colour Real Brush pens.  I then, carefully, cut out the inside of the jar using a craft knife to create a space to add a little shaker element.  I stamped out the image again onto acetate, and adhered behind my empty space.  I then added foam tape to the back and added an assortment of sequins, and glitter and all sorts of other shaker loveliness, then sealed with another piece of acetate.
I then stamped out another image from the same Best Buds set, coloured the same way, and fussy cut, chopping a few little flowers off so it would sit nicely around my shaker jar, and stamped my sentiment onto my banner.

I washed another piece of white card in blue ink to create a nice wash for my background card, and. after cutting it using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle die, mounted my panel on top.
I added a few flicks of watered down black ink across my panel and a scattering of co-ordinating sequins to embellish, then left it there for a nice striking clean and simple design.

I really hope you like it, and as always, everything i used is linked below.  Do I need to mention again this set is IN THE SALE (!!!) so be sure to pop along and have a look!

See you next week..

A Cheery Birthday Chat.

Hi everybody,

Jill here, and this week I've got a little cheerful birthday chat going on...

Using Wplus9's 'Going Places' set as my main feature.

I adore this set, the little characters are just so unbelievably sweet.  The set comes with a hot air balloon, and the sweet critters can sit inside the basket, but I wanted to put them in a different scenario to show how versatile they can be.  I always think, when they're alongside each other, they look like they're having a little natter, so decided to build a little birthday gathering.

I started by stamping out all the images I wanted to use, colouring them using my Copics, and cutting them out using the matching dies.  I don't always get matching dies as I'd rather spend my money on stamps, (more and more yummy stamps haha), but these ones are well worth getting as they cut the little arms out so you can have them peeking over things.  Just so cute.
I then took a piece of white card, cut it into a panel using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle's, then cut it into several sections using Mama Elephant's Landscape Trio Dies, Lawn Fawn's Speech Bubble die, and Lawn Fawn's Grassy Border die.  I then inked blended onto my pieces to colour them accordingly, and pieced them back together.  I also cut Mama Elephant's Picket Fence, and another slither of Lawn Fawns Grassy Border to add to the front.  I positioned my little gang in place onto my second Grassy Border, then attached to the front of my card using foam tape for dimension.

I cut a second piece of white card into a speech bubble, then die cut Lawn Fawn's 'Cheers' die from it, using the negative space as my sentiment and adding some black card behind to make it 'pop', and adhered this piece using more foam tape.  I added a couple of little balloons, tying them to their hands using black string...coz it ain't a birthday party until a balloon has made an appearance!
I added a few co-ordinating sequins to add some sparkle, mounted the whole panel onto a kraft card base, and there you have it, a little chatty birthday cheer.

I really hope you like it and, as always, everything I used is linked below.

See you next week.

Pretty Masculine.

Hi everybody,

Jill here, and this week, I'm using masculine colours to create something pretty...

Using My Favourite Things Scribble Roses and Hello There Dienamics

I started by watercolour washing a piece of card in blue ink, and die-cutting My Favourite Things 'Hello There' from it.  I then added another wash across my background using grey ink, adding a good splattering of the blue to tie in with my die-cut.

While that was all drying, I die cut these gorgeous Scribble Roses, again from My Favourite Things, covered in adhesive, then smothered in delicious beautiful sparkly white glitter.

I cut a little banner from black card, and a bigger banner from vellum, to root all my elements too, and built all my pretty pieces up, around, over, and under them.  I added a good scattering of enamel dots and clear dome gems, then mounted my panel onto a piece of dark grey card, adding a little slither of black down one side.

I like how this card came out, really simple design, with some really strong colours, but hopefully adding a little delicacy to them.

I really hope you like it too, and as laways, everything I used is linked below.

See you next week.
