Happy New Year, and even more importantly, Happy New Store! So exciting! In celebration of all things new, I thought I'd start my year with a brand new to me, Concord & 9th...
...and boy oh boy have I fell head over heels in love with them!
Their stamps are very cool, and kind of remind me of Roald Dahl illustrations - they're just brilliant.
I used the 'Grateful' set to make my card. I stamped out the feathers, and watercoloured them using bright Distress Inks, adding a ton of flicks and splodges across my background. I then took a piece of vellum, slightly longer than my card panel, and heat embossed this huge, gorgeous sentiment from the same set, across the middle of it using Black Sparkle powder. I folded the top and bottom of my vellum so I could wrap it around my card and adhere it that way. I finished with a bind and bow of natural twine, matted onto black card, added to my card base, and, quite liking the subtle simplicity, left it there.
If you haven't checked out their goodies already, you definitely should. I guarantee you won't be disappointed...and it gives you the perfect excuse to go have a good explore of the new site...as if you haven't already ;)
As always, everything I used is linked to the, oh-so pretty, new store, below.
See you next week.
