A Crabby Splash of Colour...

Hi everybody,

I'd like to share with you another card I have made for current challenge going on over on the delightful Lawnscaping blog, where this time round, the theme is 'Colour Splash', and is so kindly sponsored by the equally delightful Ellen Hutson...so who wouldn't want to win that, right?

And here's my card...

I started by stamping out this cute little crab, from the Lifes is Good set, directly onto my card panel for placement, and also stamped out my sentiment, from the same set, and clear heat embossed. I then took a few different distress inks - Picked Rasberry, Worn Lipstick, and Spiced Marmalade - and created a watercolour wash behind my crab and sentiment. I then stamped out my crab again onto a separate piece of watercolour card and coloured using Zig Clean Colour Brush Pens, fussy cut him, and adhered over the top of my original stamped image, with foam adhesive.
Now I understand this challenge is about a 'splash' of colour, and I think I may have gone with abit more of a 'soaking' on this card, but hey-ho, who can stop themselves when having fun with Distress Ink?!

I then matted my card panel onto a piece of black card and mounted the whole thing onto a white card base.  I embellished with a scattering of matching coloured sequins and that was that.

I really hope you like it and would love to to read any comments so please feel free to leave them.
 Thanks for stopping by.

Jillx
