Bright and Bold with Hoppy Poppy...

Hi everybody,

Jill here, and this week, I'm getting bright and bold...

...with Hoppy Poppy!

This is a my first ever purchase from Stamping Bella, and as soon as I set eyes on this set, 'I love you Hoppy Poppy', I fell in love - so was really excited to get going.  I started by stamping out  my image in Versafine Onyx Black, and clear heat embossing.  I then made a mask using a heart die, and placed it over my image.  I took this AMAZING Sketched Chevron Background stamp from My Favourite Things, which I am obsessed with, inked it up in Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, give it a good spritz of water and stamped it out onto my panel,  Once my background was dry, I carefully removed my mask, and set about colouring these little cuties - which I did using more Distress Ink as watercolour (the weird thing is - it was only after colouring, I realised I had done it exactly the same as the example on the packaging!  ...damn sub-conscious!).
Once that was all dry, I placed the negative part of my mask back down over the heart, and inked around the edges, in grey, to give the heart shape some definition and draw your eye in.

So this card is a bit of a 'none-one-layer', 'one-layer-card' haha - I have obviously matted and layered, but the top panel, where all the fun stuff happens, is all one-layer, (which is very 'un-me'), so I added a quick layer of Glossy Accent onto their sweet little noses, and the wee little love heart, and left it at that.
I LOVED using a 'new-to-me' set, only problem is...I'm now gonna need more :)

I really hope you like it.  As always, everything I used is linked below.  See you next week.

Jillx
