Chilly Christmas Cheer

Hi everybody,

Jill here, and this week, I'm spreading some chilly Christmas cheer!

Using Wplus9's All Year Cheer.

I LOVE this set and have got SO much use out of it already as it is so easily adaptable to whichever season or feeling you want to portray.  Since first getting it I have been looking forward to the winter chill kicking in so I could craft a little Robin Red Breast out of the sweet
bird, and eventually got the chance to do that with this, the first of my Christmas cards!

I started by stamping out & heat embossing a ton of the little snowflakes from the All Year Cheer set all across my background then washing a load of watered down purple inks across...which I then pretty much covered completely with a panel of vellum sandwiched between a frame cut from Mama Elephant's Index Card Creative Cuts...but ho-hum haha.  I then inked up, stamped up, and die cut all my small elements- my wee little robin and all the leaves and branches.  I had already embossed my sentiment onto my vellum panel in a gold powder so all that was left to do was build-up my scene up, around and over that.

I added a scattering of pearl drops that I had coloured red with an alcohol marker to act as holly berry accents.
I finished my card by adding a teeny slick of Glossy Accents onto my Robin's beak, and a coat of shimmer onto his wee little tummy.

I really hope you like it.  As always, everything I used is linked below.

See you next week.

Chirpy Cheer All Year Round

Hi everybody,

Jill here, and this week I've got some cute chirpy birds spreading some all year cheer.

Using the so so sweet, All Year Cheer from WPlus9.

I started with my background by cutting a panel using Lawn Fawn's Cross Stitched Rectangles and stamping out the large floral from Lawn Fawn's Penelope's Blossoms, on either end then clear heat embossing.  I then masked off the edges and went in with the ink, blending a pink into an orange with a gentle blend in the middle creating an emboss resit where the flowers were stamped.  I then added a few flicks and splashes of each colour across my panel.

I then set about stamping out all my little elements I wanted to build up my scene.  This All Year Cheer set is made up of block images as oppose to lined images for you to colour.  Now I'll be honest, these build-up-block sets used to scare me a little but I really wanted to start using my inks for more than just blending, so stepped out of my comfort zone and tried this set, and I've gotta tell you, I LOVE it!  It's just so quick and easy with such a clean, neat, crisp and professional finish.  I will be investing in more like this for sure.  Once I had all my images stamped out, I cut using the matching dies.  I also cut a Stitched Circle Scallop Edge Frame from My Favourite Things as an anchor for all my elements, and also as a frame for my sentiment.

I stamped my sentiment onto some vellum and clear heat embossed, then cut into a circle slightly smaller than my scalloped circle and adhered beneath it.
I then built up my entire scene using foam tape and wet glue.
I finished my card by adding a little drop of Glossy Accents to my little birdie's beaks, and matted onto green card to add an extra pop of spring zing colour and there you have it.

I really hope you like it, as always, everything I used is linked below.

See you next week.

A Floral Hooray Array.

Hi everybody,

Jill here, and this week, I'm playing with some sweet and pretty florals...

...using Mama Elephant & Wplus9 loveliness.

I started by stamping out a bunch of the sweet little leaves, branches and flowers from Wplus9's All Year Cheer using a variety of Hero Arts inks and cut out using the matching dies; it's one of these sets that you can build up so the possibilities of colourways are pretty much endless, which I absolutely love about it.
I then cut Mama Elephant's Hooray Script multiple times from white card and built up to create a nice substantial die-cut sentiment.  I then covered it in Versamark and covered in a coat of clear embossing powder to give it a nice shiny finish.

I embossed My Favourite Thing's Geometric Background onto a piece of card in clear powder, making sure to not ink the entire stamp, and wiping away a lot of the powder before heat setting to give a nice soft edge.  I then, very gently, ink blended over the top to create a delicate background for my Hooray array to go over top. I then added a few flicks and splashes of  gold to add a little flair.

I set my scene and adhered my elements in place onto my background, and finished my sentiment by heat embossing 'For you' onto grey card.  I added a scattering pearls onto my flowers and across my background, and there you have it.

I really like how this card came out and really hope you do too.  As always, everything I used is linked below so be sure to check it out.

See you next week.
